CBD Water: Is the Glass Half Full Or Half Empty?

CBD Water is getting a lot of buzz right now, and is the latest, hot CBD product rolling off peoples’ tongues (please excuse the pun!).

We know this for a fact, as we receive daily shipping requests and questions about our CBD Water from the across the U.S. and around the world. For those who have tried CBD Cure’s CBD Water, it’s become an instant hit for its 10mg of CBD infused in 9.5+ alkaline water, and its refreshingly clean taste, double hydration, and CBD wellness boost.

However, there are many people who are unfamiliar with CBD water in general, and we often find ourselves answering a myriad of questions regarding what’s in it, its benefits, and how it tastes. For this reason we decided we should talk about it...

Popular belief is that bottled CBD water (water infused with CBD particles) is an easy way to consume CBD, and a great addition to your daily CBD routine. Promoting the science of nanotechnology to decrease particle size and boost your body’s ability to absorb and utilize CBD, many brands produce their CBD water using this science.

What is nanotechnology, you’re all asking?

First, nanotechnology is not a new phenomenon and is used in many everyday products from medicine to supplements to beauty products. However, in connection with CBD, it is suddenly getting attention.

To put it really simply, scientists are able to take certain ingredients such as CBD, and produce nanoparticles (particles that are much smaller than regular particles of the same compound – Nano particles are 30x smaller), that pass through the body faster for maximum absorption and superior bioavailability.

What is Nano CBD?

Again in really simple terms, Nano CBD is a type of isolate (a fine powder vs an oil), meaning that the terpenes were removed during the extraction process, leaving behind pure CBD. Its opposite is full-spectrum, where the terpenes are left behind. In other words, it’s nothing but CBD in its purest form.

Is all CBD water alkaline?

No. Some (but not all) companies are combing alkaline water and CBD. The process of neutralizing acids in the body by consuming an alkaline diet, helps prevent various ailments. When alkaline water is combined with the anti-inflammatory properties of CBD, it can be a powerhouse in relieving pain and shortening recovery time post a strenuous workout, for example. We’ve also been told ours is a savior when dealing with a tough hangover!

Are there any negatives to CBD Water?

CBD is affected by exposure to light, which can cause it to break down and negate its potential beneficial effects. Most CBD water is stored on grocery shelves under bright lights in clear containers for days or even weeks, degrading its CBD content. One study evaluated the effects of certain storage conditions on cannabinoids, and found that exposure to light caused the greatest loss of CBD.

How do I know that I am getting everything I’m being sold?

Our advice is to always purchase products that have been independently tested by a third-party lab to verify legitimacy and quality, and ensure that you’re getting exactly what you’re paying for.

Will CBD water leave a bad taste in my mouth?

As we all know, CBD is an acquired taste, usually masked in rich, distracting flavors. One of the biggest industry challenges has been to produce a CBD water, which not only tastes like water, but like good, clean, natural water. We know this might sound strange to talk about water actually tasting like water, but it is true, and we promise you that ours does taste like the real thing!

Perhaps the glass is half full after all . . .
